Taylor hung upside down  from the roof of a house that was just inside the Inner Circle. He was observing the crowds milling around the streets to relieve his boredom but it wasn't helping much. He wanted the Council of assassins to give him a job so that he could play, or better yet, he wanted to see Auxi again. Her expression when she had seen him had blown away his boredom. She had gone from terrified, to annoyed, to furious, then finally to scared all with the few words that he had said. Auxi was sat on her bed in her bedroom, still locked in her waking nightmare. She had been sitting there for a day. No one had dared to touch or move her once she had been placed there. Various people had come and gone but she hadn't reacted to any of them could work out what was happening to her. Auxi sighed and set aside the last piece of paper that she had had to sign. She looked around the room and stretched before getting up and walking out of her office and into the corridor beyond it. She poked her head around the door of Zach's office, frowning when she noticed that he wasn't there. She continued walking down the corridor and made her way to the room in the Under Road where the orphans that they had taken in hung out during the day. Jack smirked slightly as he walked through the Market. Dressed in normal clothes instead of his City Guard uniform, the scar that barred his eye and his defining eyes were hardly noticed by the other people. There were a few merchants from the mountain tribes and he blended in nicely. There was a short note in the pocket of his jacket and he guarded it as if his life depended on it. He had managed to convince his commander to let him have complete control of the operation to capture Auxi, using whatever methods he wanted, however unorthodox they may be. Auxi tossed and turned in her bed as she slept that night. She was having dreams of her past, a past that she tried her hardest to forget, but that would haunt her for the rest of her life. She regretted what she'd done and had tried to take her own life more than once because of it. But eventually, she'd realised that living was her punishment, even if she had had no choice in the matter. The battle with her other self continued in her dreams, an endless and painful struggle. In her dream a children's song started softly and started to get louder and louder. Auxi struggled to wake up and as the song reached it's second verse she jolted awak
